BAN vs SL Stats : Bangladesh will aim to seal the series when they face off Sri Lanka in the second ODI match at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Tuesday, 25 May. Bangladesh lead 1-0 in the series after 33 runs win in the first ODI at the same venue on last Sunday.

Bangladesh who had lost 10 matches across formats in their last 11 matches put up a good all round performance in the first ODI as three of their batsmen Tamim Iqbal, Mushafiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah scored fifties and then in bowling pacers Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin and spinner Mehidy Hasan put up a good show. None of their top seven batsmen could score more than 30 runs and the likes of Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, Dhanushka Gunathikala and Dananjaya de Silva need to play big innings and they also need to work on their strike rotation in the middle overs and inform Wanindu Hasaranga who scored 74 in the first match can be promoted to number 6 or 7 to balance the side more.
