Team India ended up conceding a poor 1-wicket loss at the hands of Bangladesh in the first ODI game after having getting bowled out for 186 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh have a lead of 1-0 in the three-match ODI series and India find themselves in a must-win situation.

The Indian skipper was seen bleeding a lot which eventually forced him to leave the field immediately. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted on Twitter suffered a blow on his thumb and was taken to the hospital for further scans. He was seen supporting a taped thumb while sitting in the dressing room as Bangladesh was batting and they managed to post a challenging total of 271 for 7 even after getting reduced to 69/6 in 19 overs.

In a really surprising development, Virat Kohli has come out to open the batting alongside Shikhar Dhawan during the second ODI match against Bangladesh.
