India Playing 11 for BAN vs IND 2nd Test: Bangladesh will be facing India in the second and final Test match scheduled to take place at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka from 22 December, 2022. The KL Rahul-led Indian team registered a brilliant 188-run win against Bangladesh in the opening Test match to gain a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. India have now claimed the second position on the points table of the ICC World Test Championship 2022-23 cycle.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have already confirmed that regular skipper Rohit Sharma has still not recovered from his thumb injury which he sustained during the third ODI against Bangladesh. This means that Rohit will not be travelling to Bangladesh and will not be available for selection in the BAN vs IND 2nd Test starting from Wednesday. Therefore, the visiting Indian team is very much likely to field the same playing combination in the 2nd Test as well that played in Chattogram.

Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara scored amazing centuries each during the second innings of the first Test while India’s stand-in captain KL Rahul will be aiming for a big innings with the bat. Former India captain Virat Kohli has not had a wonderful year either with the bat especially in the longest form of the game and thus, he will want to end things on a high. Shreyas Iyer who scored a valuable knock of 84 runs in the first innings, will be eyeing to continue his sensational form. On the other hand, India are expected to play the trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel as the three spinners alongside Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj.
