AUS Playing 11: Australia will be up against Bangladesh in the third T20I at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. The visitors are trailing 0-2 in the series and need a win to stay alive in the series. The absence of several first-choice players like Warner, Maxwell, Cummins and Finch has affected Australia’s performance. Their inexperienced batting order has struggled against Bangladesh’s spin attack. Matthew Wade & Co. will hope to get their best performance out in this do-or-die game. In the head-to-head in T20Is, Australia leads Bangladesh 4-2.
Team News
- Australia could make some changes in their batting order. Ben McDermott could replace Alex Carey at the top.
- Given the pitch and conditions, legspinner Mitchell Swepson can replace Andrew Tye.

Australia’s bowlers have been bowling well but the batters have let them down so far. Swespon can make a good combination with Adam Zampa in conditions heavily in favour of spin. Batsmen though, need to put runs on the board. Apart from Mitchell Marsh, no batter has looked comfortable at the crease. Australia will hope experienced players like Matthew Wade and Moises Henriques can get a big score. It will be a great opportunity for Ashton Turner to show his finishing capabilities.
