Australia vs West Indies 2nd Test: Adelaide Pitch Report, Team Records at Adelaide Oval
As seen in the recent few years, the pitch at the Adelaide Oval has provided some advantage to the pace bowlers given that this will be a day-night Test match being played with the pink between Australia and West Indies. The batters from both the teams will enjoy batting on this wicket on the first two days initially, however, the twilight time period will be really challenging as it becomes difficult to spot the pink cherry. The spinners will not have much of assistance from this Adelaide pitch as seen in the previous day-night Test matches played on this venue.
The average first innings score at the Adelaide Oval is 381 runs while 212 is the average fourth innings total on this ground so far. Australia ended up beating England by a massive margin of 275 runs during the last day-night Test match played at this venue. The Aussie bowling attack also rattled the India batting line-up for a paltry total of 36 runs in Adelaide as well. Australia have not lost a single day-night Test match so far at home.
