Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is ruled out of ongoing Australia versus New Zealand white ball series. Stoinis will miss the final and remaining One Day fixture of the tour due to an injury. There are no official updates about Stoinis’s participation in Australia’s further schedules deeming the recovery time.
The 33-year-old has reportedly suffered a low-level side strain, that is, a muscular tear or strain of the abdominal muscles. Stoinis will rehab back in Perth ahead of the India tour. Nathan Ellis, the Hobart Hurricanes right-arm pacer, is called into the Australian squad to fill a place.
Besides, Australia are set to play the third One Day International (ODI) game tomorrow (Sunday, September 11) at Cazaly’s Stadium in Cairns. The Aussies have already won the series after two successive victories in Cairns, the same venue.

Aaron Finch to retire from ODI cricket
Stoinis, meanwhile, hasn’t been at his best in this series, particularly. He has picked up a wicket in the second game of the three-match series and has botched to deliver with the bat.
Moreover, this third ODI in Cairns will also see Aaron Finch, Australia’s current skipper, bidding farewell to the 50-over format. After enduring an awful stint with the bat this year, Finch has made his intentions of focusing on the upcoming T20 World Cup at home, clearer.
