Australia vs England: The Australian men are set to face England in the first One Day International (ODI) game of the three-match series. The match will be played on Thursday (November 17) at 8:50 AM (IST), at the Adelaide Oval.
The Pat Cummins-led Australia will be looking to gear up, after a disappointing white-ball journey at home. Moreover, Cummins is up with one more responsibility. The righty pacer will further lead Australia in ODIs too. He was also appointed as the Test captain of the side last year.
England, on the other hand, are cherishing a four-year-long success in white ball cricket. The current 50-over cricket’s world champions will not step back in the coming, considering the forthcoming World Cup in India in 2023.
As Australia vs England contest is at the edge, here’s the pitch report and more, from Adelaide Oval.

Australia aim for a rebuild
England are on the Australia tour since October. The English men played a three-match T20I series against the hosts and won the series 2-0, with the match being abandoned. Their bilateral success was followed by the T20 World Cup triumph against Pakistan in Melbourne.
Australia, by the way, couldn’t qualify for knockout games and were ruled out of the tournament, earlier than expected. Though the format will now be different, the team will be keen to get back on track, as exactly a year later, 50-over World Cup will arrive.
Besides, after this first Australia vs England ODI, the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) will host the second match on November 19. And the ultimate derby of the series will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), on November 22.
