Indian women’s team are all set to play three ODIs, a one-off day-night Test and three T20Is against Australia women’s team starting on September 21. The tour kick starts with the ODI series, the first of which will take place tomorrow followed by the second and third ODI on 24th and 26th September. The one-off Test will begin from 30th September in Queensland followed by T20I-series.
Harmanpreet Kaur was ruled out of the first ODI against Australia
With only one day remaining for the commencement for the start of the first ODI against Australia women, the Indian women’s team has a suffered a major blow as their vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur has been ruled out of the first game.

The right-handed batter suffered a thumb injury few days before the start of the first ODI and couldn’t recover well in time which resulted in her being ruled out of the first match against Australian women.
India women’s team head coach Ramesh Powar confirmed the same and said that the availability of the Indian vice-captain for the second fixture against Australian women will be taken according to her fitness.
“She was declared fit. She was selected for this tour but, unfortunately, some days back she got a hit on the thumb and she is not available for the first ODI. Next ODI we will take a call according to her pain management and fitness management.” He said.
Notably, Harmanpreet Kaur sustained a quadriceps injury during the Hundred tournament and left the tournament midway and also was left out of the warm-up game on Saturday in Brisbane.

With the non-availability of Harmanpreet Kaur, Sneh Rana is likely to get a nod in the first ODI against Australia.
