AUS vs ZIM: Australia are all set to host the Zimbabwe Cricket team for a short three-match ODI series starting with the opening AUS vs ZIM ODI match on 28 August, 2022. The second and third ODI matches between Australia and Zimbabwe will be played on 31 August and 3 September, 2022 respectively. All the three ODI matches are scheduled to take place at the Tony Ireland Stadium in Townsville.

“These series against New Zealand, the world’s No.1 ranked ODI side, and Zimbabwe will be good contests, providing an opportunity to play some great cricket in the lead-up to the home summer,” said George Bailey, the chair of selectors, on Monday (July 18).

“The team is excited to be marking the start of a huge summer with these matches in North Queensland,” Bailey added.

Australia ODI squad: Aaron Finch (c), Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, Adam Zampa.

Zimbabwe ODI squad: Regis Chakabva (captain, wk), Ryan Burl, Brad Evans, Luke Jongwe, Innocent Kaia, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Clive Madande (wk), Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Tony Munyonga, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Victor Nyauchi, Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams.
