AUS vs SL 3rd T20I: Maxwell withdraws from squad, replacement announced

Australia all-rounder has withdrawn himself from the Australia squad, taking a ‘short’ break from the game to deal with mental health issues. He is not available for the 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka and upcoming Pakistan series.
“Glenn Maxwell has been experiencing some difficulties with regards to his mental health. As a result, he will spend a short time away from the game. Glenn was proactive in identifying these issues and engaging with support staff,” confirmed the team psychologist Dr. Michael Lloyd.
Short to join squad
D’arcy Short has been named as a replacement for the Australia T20 squad.
