The Australia team will be playing their first Super 12 league match against South Africa. The team is coming into this fixture after 1 win in 2 warmup matches. They will have to improve their batting performances and the bowlers need to show some intent in taking wickets of the opposition batsman. The openers, Aaron Finch and David Warner will have to come back to form to give confidence to the whole team. While middle order players Smith, Maxwell, and Stoinis played quite well in the warmup games and would look to continue the same form.

The Fox Cricket posted a tweet about Hussey’s probable combination for the opening fixture of Super 12 match. Interestingly, he has left out Marcus Stoinis for this despite hi providing contributions in both the warmup matches. The all rounders Mitchell Marsh and Ashton Agar are chosen which may be due to their form in the recent Bangladesh series.

Bowlers Key to Australia against South Africa
The Australian bowlers looked pale in their last warmup game against India and could take only 1 wicket. The lack of cricketing action for Starc, Zampa, and Cummins might hurt them in this year’s T20 World Cup. They did not looked confident of their executing their skills and have to display sharp performances.
Shane Warne Picks Favourites to Win the Tournament
It will be a toss-up between Kane Richardson and Josh Hazlewood. In the first warmup against New Zealand, Kane scalped 3 wickets and is generally preferred over Josh in the T20Is. But Josh Hazlewood is coming into the tournament after a perfect IPL season, and the captain will be looking to unleash him against South Africa.
