Asia Cup 2022: Who won IND vs PAK match? Check the winner of Man of the Match Award

Indian Cricket Team and Pakistan clashed in the Match 2 of Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Team. It was as usual a high octane clash and it saw both the teams fighting tooth and nail and put each other in pressure situations at various times but in the end it was the Rohit Sharma-led side who held their nerves better and sealed the game with 5 wickets to win.

Asia Cup 2022:  India thumps Pakistan by 5 wickets to clinch the nail-bitter 

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bow first. His decision to put Pakistan into the bat first paid off as Indian pacers ran through Pakistan’s batting line up and made them look clueless. Bhuvneshwar Kumar started the proceedings for his side as he removed Babar Azam for 10 runs and the continued his good form to return with the figures of 4/26.

Hardik Pandya was the star with the ball as he troubled Pakistani batsmen with his short bowling and took 3 wickets. Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan also chipped in and combined to pick 3 wickets as India bundle out the opposition for just 147 runs

Pakistan then started the innings on high as they removed KL Rahul for duck. Skipper Rohit Sharma (12) and Virat Kohli (35) then steadied the innings for a bit but if they were back in hut for quick succession as India found themselves tumbling at 53/3. Suryakumar Yadav tried hard but fell for 18. Ravindra Jadeja (35) along with Hardik Pandya (33*) then took matters into their own hands and slowly but unleashed themselves in the end to help India win the match by 5 wickets.

Asia Cup 2022: Who won Man of the Match in IND v PAK Clash ?

It was no surprise who was awarded Player of the Match. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya stole the limelight in Dubai as not he did he impressed many with his bowling skills, he also took his side home with the bat. 

With the ball, he first troubled Pakistani batsmen with the short balls and took three wickets. If this was not enough he played a crucial cameo of 33 runs in just 17 balls and took his team home from the jaws of defeat.
