The Asia Cup 2022 kick-started yesterday with Afghanistan thumping Sri Lanka to start the tournament on high. Now it’s time for the much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan, which will be played in Dubai on Sunday (28th August).

With just few hours remaining for the clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, many fans and pundits have started to predict the result of the game.

While many are of the the opinion that the Rohit Sharma led side will emerge victorious, some say that Men in Green will have have advantage over them, especially after what happened in the T20 World Cup 2022.

However, former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev feels that although one cannot predict the outcomes in T20s, but if stats are to be considered, India are far better than Pakistan. He while backing the Rohit-led side to win the game, saying that one who will play better win as it’s a game of fine margins.

“You can’t be sure about anything in T20. You can predict to some extent in ODIs and Tests, but it is very difficult to predict in T20s. I will say that our team has experience and they are better, but we were better last time as well. They played better than us. So, it’s quite difficult to say anything. Still, if you go into stats and players, Indian team is far better. But it all depends on how the side plays on that particular day,” Kapil Dev said.

Asia Cup 2022: India’s record vs Pakistan in Asia Cup 

India have been heavyweights in Asia Cup, having won the title record seven times. They have dominated almost every opposition and have a batter track record against each of them. The record stays same when it comes to their battle against Pakistan.

The Men in Blue have clashed 13 times with Pakistan in the Asia Cup and out of which they have won 8 out of it whereas 5 have belonged to Pakistan. It remains to be seen will India extend their lead or not.
