Indian Cricket team are so far having a decent campaign in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. They kickstarted their campaign with a thrilling win over Pakistan and then thumped Hong Kong to book their berth there in the Super 4s stage of the six-nation tournament.
Asia Cup 2022: Mohammad Hafeez lashes out at Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for his poor outings
While the Indian team has been clinical with both bat and ball, skipper Rohit Sharma has struggled to score runs in the two games he has featured so far. In the game against Pakistan, he looked completely out of sorts with the bat as he scored 12 runs in 18 balls and it was clear that he gave his wicket under pressure.
Rohit then had a decent start against Hong Kong as he took their bowlers to the cleaners at first but perished for 21 runs in just 13 balls. His form has been a cause of concern for a while and many fans and pundits have started to point their fingers at him.
Recently, former Pakistani cricketer, Mohammad Hafeez also took a dig at the Indian skipper and said that his body language is weak confused and he looked scared during the match against Pakistan. He also said that the right-hander might work to stay India captain for a while.

“If we observed Rohit Sharma’s body language during the toss, he was weak, there was a bit of worry and confusion. I didn’t see the Rohit Sharma, which I have observed during the matches, who plays beautiful innings. I feel captaincy is creating pressure on Rohit Sharma and he has to deal with numerous problems. His own form has taken a hit, IPL went bad and since his return to international cricket, especially in this format, I haven’t seen the flow returning,” Mohammad Hafeez said.

Asia Cup 2022: India and Pakistan likely to play two more matches in the tournament
While the last game between India and Pakistan was enthralling for fans, it is expected that the arch-rivals will face two more times in the tournament. The Rohit-led side has already qualified for the Super 4s stage.
Pakistan is all set to clash with Hong Kong and the winner of the game will play India on Sunday (4th September). It’s very much likely that the Babar Azam-led side will defeat the associate nation and will face Men in Blue on Sunday.
Also, if both teams play to their potential, they are likely to top the points table of the Super 4s stage. The top two teams will then clash in the final of the Asia Cup.
