Asia Cup 2022: Injured Shaheen Afridi Taking Batting Tips from Rishabh Pant – WATCH
Ahead of the Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan suffered a big setback as their premier pace bowler Shaheen Afridi got ruled out of the entire T20 tournament due to a knee injury. However, the left-arm speedster has joined the rest of the Pakistani team at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium ahead of the IND vs PAK clash and was even seen having a chat with some of the Indian players. In an exclusive conversation shared by the Pakistan Cricket on Twitter, Afridi can be seen having a funny conversation with India’s star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant where the Pakistani pacer mentioned that he was thinking to start hitting one-hand sixes just like him.
“Yaar main soch raha hu aapki tarah bas batting shuru kar du, ek haath se chhakke lagaau (I’m thinking of becoming a batter like you, start hitting sixes with a single hand),” Shaheen Afridi told Rishabh Pant.
Pant also noted that as Shaheen is a fast bowler, he will have put in a lot of efforts to be fit. In the end, the Pakistani cricketer wished best of luck to the trio of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli for the big India vs Pakistan match.
