Asia Cup 2018: Sri Lanka recall Lasith Malinga

Sri Lankan veteran white-ball fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been named in Sri Lanka’s 16-man squad for the Asia Cup, as announced by the selectors on Saturday.
Maling, who last made his last international appearance in Sri Lanka colours last September against India recently featured in the Domestic T20 tournament.
Danushka Gunathilaka, who was suspended for the ODI and T20 series against the Proteas for breaking curfew on the Test match night back in July have also made his comeback following a string of good performances in the ongoing Super Provincial T20., while Dasun Shanaka manages to retain his place following strong performances against South Africa.
On the batting front, Spin-bowling all-rounder Shehan Jayasuriya failed to retain his place after modest returns against South Africa while Dinesh Chandimal, also makes a comeback after serving the ICC-imposed, spirit-of-cricket suspension.
Five-time champions Sri Lanka will kickstart their Asia Cup campaign on September 15 against Bangladesh.
