One of the reasons for the Delhi Capitals’ highly successful campaign in IPL 2020 was Anrich Nortje’s pace bowling. The speedster rattled opposition with his express pace and gave the edge to Delhi’s bowling unit. This express pace is exactly what Delhi missed against Rajasthan Royals in their previous match in IPL 2021 as they failed to defend a modest total. So the team management and the fans are desperately awaiting for Nortje’s return to the team. And the good news is that there is a an official update on his availability.
“Mei Aa gaya hoo”, Nortje is back in IPL 2021!
In a video posted by Delhi Capitals’ official Twitter handle, the right-arm pace bowler has announced his arrival.
Nortje said in the video, “Main aa gaya hoon (I have returned).”
When asked about his thoughts on re-joining the camp, he said that it was nice to see everyone at breakfast. The Proteas bowler said that, finally, he is out of his room, and excited to get to training today. He also stated that he is looking forward to get to the stadium.

Nortje to boost Delhi’s blowing unit
Avesh Khan’s five wickets in 2 games meant Delhi’s pace bowling unit was in good hands in the first two games. Chris Woakes too used the new ball effectively. Now the availability of K Rabada and A Nortje will further bolster Delhi’s bowling arsenal.
