Arch rivals India and Pakistan have not played against each other in a bilateral series since 2013 due to the political tensions between both the nations. But this doesn’t mean the players of both the nation do not get along very well, in fact some of the players like Mohammad Amir, Virat Kohli, Shoaib Malik share a good bond with each other.
No match for Kohli in this era
With the entire world under the lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic, cricketers everywhere are going live on social media platforms like instagram and twitter having chats with friends and teammates. Mohammad Amir also went live with his friends and teammates on Instagram.
Pakistan Fast bowler Mohamaad Amir was asked to Choose his Best Batsman of Current Era?

During one such chat, he was asked to pick the best batsman of this era. And the left-armer picked India captain Virat Kohli and mentioned that there was no match for him at the present.
“My overall favorite is Saeed Anwar bhai but if you talk about this era then it is Virat Kohli. There is no match to him in this era,” Amir said.
Amir-Kohli bond
Virat Kohli and Mohammad Amir share a very good relationship and mutual respect with each other regardless of the tension between their respective nations. Kohli had even gifted his bat to Amir ahead of the marquee clash at the Eden Gardens during the T20 World Cup 2016.
Mohammad Amir was all over in the news before the lockdown. He has been criticised by many for retiring from the Test format last year soon after the World Cup. Even the Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis took a dig at him and Wahab Riaz for leaving the team at the wrong time in the longest format of the game. However, the former coach of the team Mickey Arthur recently backed the pacer’s decision to retire from the Tests.
