Big Name Players Whose Fate Will Be Decided at IPL Auction 2021

The IPL 2021 Auction will take place on 18th February at Chennai. In the last month, The franchise put up a list of the players who they wanted to retain and other players were released for the auction, if they make themselves available. Last year, Mumbai Indians won the title, and Delhi Capitals emerged as the runner-up. Both the team’s panel would be upbeat ahead of the auction, but will still try to pick the best among the lot. The team can have a maximum of 8 overseas players, with a total of 25 players in the squad.

Big Players Up for Grabs in IPL 2021 Auction
Dawid Malan
The no.1 T20 batsman in the world has been consistent for the England team in the limited-overs format. In the last T20I series against South Africa, he emerged as the leading run-scorer with 173 runs in 3 matches. In the recently concluded BBL, he scored 265 runs in 10 matches and can be of the best picks for the IPL 2021 Auction.
Shakib Al Hasan
The Bangladeshi all-rounder is one of the most experienced T20 players in the auction pool of players. He has played for SRH and KKR in the IPL and has been impressive in helping both teams to lift the title. In his T20 career, he has scored 5080 runs and scalped 360 wickets.
Kedar Jadhav
The player who has been criticized for playing a touch slow and giving away his wicket too easily at a crucial juncture of the match. Running up to the auction, he played good innings for the Maharashtra team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He can be one of the players who can surprise with his bid amount in the IPL 2021 Auction. In 87 IPL matches, he has scored 1141 runs.
Steve Smith
The Australian premier batsman is surely one of the best picks among the players who are slated to go under the hammer at the Auction. With the experience of playing in various franchise teams, he has got a good idea of how to handle crucial situations. He has 2333 runs in 95 IPL matches.
Glenn Maxwell
The flamboyant all-rounder is in sublime form, whether it be in the international series or the BBL. With good experience in the T20 format, he can be an X-factor for any team due to his fearless batting and ability to contribute with the ball as well. In 82 IPL matches, he has amassed 1505 runs.
