'Out to karna hi hai, ab inko maaro bhi’: Akhtar’s advice to New Zealand

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was all praise for Team India’s dominance in the second T20I versus New Zealand as they won the game with seven wickets to spare.

Akhtar also criticized the Kiwis as the lack of intent was quite evident throughout the game.

Ruthless Team India

India is becoming a ruthless team as they once again proved it against New Zealand in the second T20I. If you (Kiwis) are being bowled out for such a modest total, how will you compete against a side like India which possesses a long batting line-up

The Rawalpindi Express was quoted saying on his YouTube channel. Shoaib Akhtar was also in admiration with the way Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami made their presence felt on the Eden Park wicket.

Deadly pace duo

The Indian bowlers bowled short, they terrorised them, even aimed for their head. Never seen this confidence in Shami and Bumrah before. They have an aggressive mindset. They think – out to karna hi hai, ab inko maaro bhi. New Zealand underestimated the Indian pacers, they were committing too soon and hence, ball took the edge, they even got hit on their head. Also, Ravindra Jadeja doesn’t let you score runs and bowls some odd spins which and tests the batsmen.

Though Shoaib Akhtar was quite vocal about the Men in Blue’s ruthlessness in the modern-day and age, the former pacer questioned the other sides inability to compete with them.

At present India is dominating the world one-sided. But what will happen to other teams? What will happen to world cricket?

When Australia dominated world cricket, at least India and Pakistan showed fight and tried to compete. However, what we are seeing in New Zealand is that the hosts have completely surrendered before India in the first t20 T20Is
