AFGH vs BAN Dream11: Injury Updates, Team News And More
Afghanistan and Bangladesh lock horns again in a do or die contest in the evening at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Both the teams have lost their first encounter and need to register a win here in order to stay alive in the tournament.
While Afghanistan really gave a tough fight to Pakistan, Bangladesh showcased a below par performance against India in the Super Four.
This will be the second meeting of both the teams in the tournament. In the first encounter at the same ground, Afghanistan thrashed Bangladesh by 136 runs and would be looking to repeat the same.
So, here are some of the possible changes both the teams can consider to undergo-
Afghanistan:
- Weak pace attack
Afghanistan lost the match against Pakistan in the last over. In the final over Pakistan needed 10 to win and Afghanistan’s Aftab Alam could help it. Pace attack is the biggest concern for Afghanistan. However, might not tinker the combination before such a crucial contest.
Rest of the team is performing exceptionally well, especially both the spinners – Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
Bangladesh:
- Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes join the squad
Bangladesh has included Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes in their squad to give a boost their batting side. After Tamim Iqbal’s departure, the batting line-up has looked fragile. Although these two have not played an ODI since October 2017, their inclusion might strengthen Bangladesh’s batting line up. Liton Das, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and M Mithun have failed to produce an inning to retain their spot and any of the two can be replaced by the newly added duo.
- Doubt over Rubel Hossain
Bangladesh can also replace Rubel Hossain with Abu Hider. Hider made his debut against Afghanistan and returned with 9-50-2. Rubel Hossain has so far looked off color and not performed to the expectation.
