AB de Villiers is one of the greatest batsmen the world has seen in recent times. AB had a fantastic Mzansi Super League while playing for the eventual runner up Tshwane Spartans. He managed to score 325 runs in nine innings and was the highest scorer for the team.
When asked to name the three best players he has played with or against, AB de Villiers could only muster three names. He rated the Indian captain Virat Kohli, ex-Australian captain Steve Smith and his first captain in International cricket Graeme Smith as the top three batsmen he has played with or against.

“Very limited in his technique, but he finds a way just an amazing character,” He also added “Graeme Smith, there is something about the Smiths. Graeme Smith [was] n, not the flashiest players, but he played for the team and wanted to make a statement always. Virat Kohli is similar. The kind of guy you don’t talk on the field.”
What next for AB de Villiers
Ab De Villiers is currently in Australia for Big Bash League stint. The South African joined the Brisbane Heat team led by Chris Lynn. Ab De Villiers made his debut against Adelaide Strikers on 14th January, where he scored 40 runs for the team.

The former South Africa captain hoped to reproduce the form he displayed in the Mzansi Super League. de Villiers, who replaced the English opener Tom Banton from Heat’s playing 11, further added, “I know what’s required of me to make a play for the team. There have been some standout performances from the Heat this season, and I think the team is in a really good place. Tom Banton did a fantastic job. Hopefully, I’ll do a similar job but in the middle order,”
Brisbane Heat is on a winning run in Big Bash, and the addition of Ab De Villiers will further strengthen the team. Ab De Villiers will also hope to find the right form and emulate his Mzansi Super League form in Big Bash as well as forthcoming IPL.
