2019 saw some of the stalwarts of the game retiring from the game. It also saw some fine young talents making their mark felt. We bring you, 7 young cricketers, to look forward to in the year 2020.
Haris Rauf
Young Pakistan pace bowler Haris Rauf has been in a splendid form in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) as he has picked 10 wickets in three games so far for Melbourne Stars. The 26-year-old seamer who made his first-class debut last year hasn’t represented his country yet. With a successful BBL under his belt, he is sure to attract the national team selectors and various franchise owners this year.

Tom Banton
This swashbuckling English wicketkeeper-batsman has shown his class in various T20 and T10 leagues around the world. With him earning the national call and the IPL franchise KKR picking him for the coming season, he will be an exciting young talent to watch in 2020. He also hit six sixes in an over against Arjun Nair in BBL yesterday. Watch the video here.

Devdutt Padikkal
The Karnataka opener has made his every opportunity count in 2019 by showing his class in all domestic tournaments that happened last year. With an eventful IPL season for RCB waiting for him, it will be interesting to see how Devdutt Padikkal goes about things in 2020.

Zahir Khan
This young 21-year-old chinaman bowler from Afghanistan has been already troubling the batsman in the ongoing BBL. With T20 World Cup happening this year and various other franchise assignments on his way, he will be interesting to look forward to this year.
The wicket is good, but the celebration from Zahir Khan is next level!

Tom Blundell
New Zealand has been looking for a consistent opening partner for Tom Latham for a long time. They finally seem to have found the ideal one in the form of Tom Blundell. Blundell has played just four Tests so far and has two hundreds in them. With the responsibilities of keeping no longer bothering him, he can focus on his batting skills and flourish as an opener in 2020.

Ollie Pope
Ollie Pope is an extremely talented player who has the potential to become a superstar in the future. Already considered as the ‘next big thing’, Pope belongs to that class of elegant English batsmen who possess natural flair. The middle-order batsman seems to be the man that English management would invest in for 2020, as they are looking for a solid batsman.
A second consecutive Test half-century for Ollie Pope.

Shubman Gill
2020 finally seems to be the year of Shubman Gill. The talented batsman has not received the opportunities that he deserves at the highest level. With KKR most likely to try him as an opener and considering the hectic schedule of Team India this year, Gill seems most likely to get international appearances this year.
Who's Shubman Gill, you ask? Almost exactly a year ago, the youngster, who is making his India debut today, was in New Zealand at the #U19WC, doing this in the semifinal against Pakistan! ? pic.twitter.com/ZYGW1OAKSo

Other than these, Ikram Ali Khil, Mohammed Rizwan are a few youngsters who we feel will make their mark in 2020.
