2004 Asia Cup
One of the memorable knocks in Shoaib Malik’s career, Pakistan downed India in convincing fashion. India were asked to chase 301 when Malik and company ran riot in Colombo. Sachin Tendulkar scored 78 runs in the match, but it proved to be only a consolation as India lost by 59 runs.
2010 Asia Cup
A match that lives long in the memories of the cricket fans. Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar had a verbal spat before they went toe-to-toe. Needing 268 to win, India won the contest in thrilling fashion after Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni were the architect-in-chiefs. Gambhir scored 83 while Dhoni smashed 56 in a tight contest.
2012 Asia Cup
The 2012 edition of the Asia Cup may not bring too many positives for Team India after they faced elimination in the league phase. But India’s encounter against Pakistan was one to remember, chasing 330 in a must-win match, India lost Gautam Gambhir early, but up stepped Virat Kohli as he would play one of his memorable innings. Virat scored 183 and was on course to a double hundred before getting out. India won the match with 13 balls to spare, but finished third to face elimination from Asia Cup.

The match saw one-way traffic for Team India as they dominated Pakistan thanks to stellar performances from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.
