After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Punjab Kings lost the wicket of their new opener Prabhsimran Singh quite early in the innings. PBKS vs RCB IPL Match 26 Live:
Gayle played a crucial quick-fire innings of 46 runs off 24 balls that consisted of 6 fours and 2 sixes before being dismissed by Daniel Sams in the 11th over. He was involved in an excellent 80-run partnership with skipper KL Rahul who is also batting really well right now having already smashed his fourth fifty in this ongoing edition of the IPL. However, Punjab Kings’ swashbuckling batsman Nicholas Pooran continued his disappointing form in this game as well recording his fourth duck of the season. The RCB bowlers did fightback well in the middle-overs but due to Rahul’s stunning striking and Harpreet Brar’s incredible cameo, Punjab Kings finished with a challenging total of 179 for 5 in their 20 overs.
KL Rahul played a captain’s knock of 97 runs off 57 balls that included 7 fours and 5 sixes while Harpreet also smashed a good cameo of 25 runs off 17 deliveries.
