1st Test ENG vs NZ Live: England are currently facing New Zealand in the first of the two-match Test series at the iconic Lord’s cricket ground in London. These two Test matches against England hold a lot of importance for the visiting New Zealand side as they prepare for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India scheduled to start from June 18 in Southampton. In this ongoing first Test, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has won the toss and opted to bat first.

However, England pacer Ollie Robinson on his Test debut got his maiden scalp in form of Latham to help his team with the first breakthrough of the Test match. New Zealand went into lunch on Day 1 with the scorecard reading 85 for 1, however, in the very first over after the break, England’s veteran fast bowler James Anderson bowled a peach of a delivery that clean bowled the opposition captain Kane Williamson as his famous late hands showed up a little too late.

Kane Williamson managed to score 13 runs off 33 balls that consisted of 2 boundaries before ending up getting an inside-edge onto the off-stump. This was also the sixth time when James Anderson got the better of Williamson in Test matches.

In the meanwhile, New Zealand’s Devon Conway has so far looked in a fabulous touch on his Test debut against England in the first match at the Lord’s. The 29-year-old has been a prolific run-scorer in the New Zealand domestic circuit across the three formats in the recent while and is now close to scoring his maiden half-century in the purest format of the game that too at the world cricket stage. On the other hand, England bowlers will be aiming to pick as many wickets as they can on regular intervals to put pressure on the visitors.
