1st ODI, IND vs ENG Stats Highlights from 1st ODI

IND vs ENG Stats :  India beat England by 66 runs in the first ODI match at MCA Stadium in Pune and took a lead of 1-0 in the three match ODI series and the nest two ODIs will also be played here.

Earlier England won the toss and opted to field first. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave a decent start of 64 runs in 15 overs. Rohit Sharma got out off Ben Stokes bowling and then Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan added over 100 runs and at 169/1 India were in solid position and both Kohli and Dhawan had scored their fifties but in the next a few overs they lost 4 wickets for 36 runs and at 205/5 they’re in trouble but KL Rahul and debutant Krunal Pandya batted so well in the last 10 overs and scored over 100 runs in fewer than 10 overs and both batsmen remained not out with their respective fifties. Shikhar Dhawan top scored with 98 runs. In reply Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow gave a flying start of 135 runs in 14 overs and it was looking an easy chase for them but then Prasidh Krishnna broke this stand by dismissing Roy and after his dismissal England lost the plot and kept losing wickets regularly and eventually bowled out for 251 runs in the 43rd over. For them Jonny Bairstow scored 94 runs while for India Krishnna took 4 wickets and Thakur took 3 wickets.
