Key players for England vs India, Nottinghamshire Outlaws vs Durham Jets
For the next 24 hours, two matches are lined up, one international fixture between England and India and the other one is an English T20 Blast between Nottinghamshire Outlaws and Durham Jets. We will have a look into the key players from either side who have the potential to make an impact with their talismanic game.
Here’s a brief review of players who can emerge as game changers.
England vs India:
Going by the form of the individuals, Jason Roy has been middling the ball well in the previous two ODI’s and he is due for a big inning. Joe Root’s significant century in the last game implies his return back to form and he is once again expected to run havoc over the Indian bowlers.
On the bowling front, Adil Rashid and Liam Plunkett are undoubtedly their best bowlers who have the nack of picking wickets plus slow down run rates. Once again they will be their prime bowlers to ruin the Indian batting.
Indian batting revolves around their openers Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli if these three get going it is obvious their score would end up on a tottering margin.
In the bowling department, the impetus is still on the spin twins as their premier spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar is still doubtful for the next game which makes Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav job even more responsible.
Nottinghamshire Outlaws vs Durham Jets:
The next North Group match from the Vitality Blast 2018 is between the defending champions Nottinghamshire Outlaws and the Durham Jets.
For the Outlaws, skipper Dan Christian has been an ideal lead with the bat with 225 runs to his name from just 4 matches which includes a breathtaking 113 against Northamptonshire. He along with Moores and Steven Mullaney are their batting stalwarts.
In the bowling department, New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi has been impressive so far and will be their key bowler.
The Durham Jets will heavily rely on skipper Tom Latham and English veteran Paul Collingwood with the bat while with the ball Imran Tahir and Will Smith who grabbed 2 wickets in the last match against Birmingham Bears will be their bowlers.
