It’s a busy day tomorrow if you are an ardent Cricket lover as not only you have an IPL match to worry about, but there are umpteen matches in Royal London One-Day Cup.
So, let’s have a look at the key players:
KOL vs HYD Players to watch out for:
For Kolkata, Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana and Dinesh Karthik will have the responsibilities to take the bowlers to the cleaners. Andre Russell’s power game in the last match aided the last minute spark in Kolkata innings for which he was adjudged the man of the match, his all-round performance will once again be crucial.
In the bowling department, the spin trio of Piyush, Narine, and Kuldeep can emerge as game changers as the Eden pitch assist the slow bowlers, especially in the second innings.
For Hyderabad, the skipper Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan will be the key to their run scoring. In the last game Carlos Brathwaite hit some lusty blows in the end and contributed with a crucial knock of 43* off 29 balls which helped SRH to post a respectable total, so this time also there would be some expectations from him. Bowling came up good in the last game after they took a low scoring game till the last over and fought hard for a win for their side.
NOT vs YOR Players to watch out for:
Yorkshire vs Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire travel to Leeds to take on Yorkshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup match on Friday.
The Top-Three Batsmen of Yorkshire have been quite brilliant this season with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Cheteshwar Pujara scoring the bulk of runs. In the last 6 innings, Kohler has scored two fifties, one big hundred and two scores in the late 30s. Pujara, on the other hand, seems to work hard on his technique as he is scoring quite heavily in the difficult English conditions. In the last 3 innings, he has scored two 50s and 1 hundred.
While in Bowling, Ben Coad and Adil Rashid will be the key players for the home team. Coad has taken 27 wickets in the current English season, while Rashid remains a go-to-bowler in the limited overs.
For Nottinghamshire, almost all the Batsmen at the top scored runs in the last match against Leicestershire with Samit Patel getting a brilliant hundred. He has been amongst the wickets too, so he could be your star player in your fantasy Cricket. Meanwhile, Chris Nash, Riki Wessels, and Tom Moores all scored the 50s in the last game.
In Bowling, English International Jake Ball and Harry Gurney will be the key figures for the visitors.
WAS vs LAN Players to watch out for:
Lancashire vs Warwickshire
If there is one player who could be a long-term solution for England at the top then it has to be Keaton Jennings. The 25-year-old right-handed Batsman is in the form of his life. In the last 5 innings, he has scored three centuries and two scores in the 50s, whilst Alex Davies is another Batsman who is in good form. The 23-year-old scored 59 and 147 in the last two innings.
In Bowling department, Matt Parkinson could be your decisive Bowler as he has claimed two five-fer and a total of 17 wickets in the last 5 five games.
For Warwickshire, Sam Hain has scored two 100s in his last two innings, while Jonathan Trott a sublime 50 in the last match and played a critical role as his side chased down Warwickshire’s total in 45.4 overs.
While Jeetan Patel and Olly Stone are the picks of the Bowlers in the visitors’ team.
DER vs LEI Players to watch out for:
Derbyshire vs Leicestershire
Billy Godleman and Luis Reece hit the form in the last game, scoring 60 and 92 respectively as Derbyshire won the last game against Durham. While Duanne Olivier and Luis Reece have taken a total of five wickets in the last three games.
For Leicestershire, Paul Horton scored a magnificent 100 in the opening Royal London One-Day Cup and is one of the most in-form Batsmen for the Foxes while Griffiths and Raine have stood out with the ball.
WOR vs DUR Players to watch out for:
After three consecutive loss, last-placed Durham will once again look for a win when they face off Worcestershire on Friday (May 25). The upcoming North Group clash will witness the two sides locking horns at Roseworth Terrace, Gosforth. The match will start at 03:30 PM IST or 11:00 AM Local.
For Worcestershire, the batting will most probably revolve around Joe Clarke, Travis Head, Ross Whiteley and wicketkeeper Ben Cox. All of them have scored a fifty in the last two games. BD Oliviera will be crucial with his all-around performance.
In bowling, Joe Leach, Ed Barnard, and BD Oliviera will be the key. Ed Barnard has 4 wickets in his bag.
For Durham, M Richardson, Tom Latham, and wicketkeeper Stuart Poynter are the top contributors with the bat.
In bowling, Nathan Rimmington will be the key. He has 6 wickets in his bag.
KET vs GLA Players to watch out for:
For Kent, the key batter will be D Bell-Drummond, and H Kuhn. In two games, Drummond has scored 90 and 44 respectively while Heino Kuhn has scored a half-century in two games.
In bowling, M Henry and C Haggett will be crucial. Henry has 5 wickets and Haggett has taken 3 wickets so far.
For Glamorgan, skipper Colin Ingram, D Lloyd and Shaun Marsh are the top contributors with the bat. They will be responsible for bulk scoring.
In bowling, Marchant de Lange and G Wagg will be crucial. de Lange is the leading wicket-taker for the side.
SUS vs MID Players to watch out for:
English International Luke Wright will have to shoulder a lot of responsibility in this game like he did in the previous game with the bat. The 33-year-old scored 105 as Sussex posted an intimidating 105 runs in the last game, while Danny Briggs is expected to play a crucial part with the ball for the home side Middlesex.
Meanwhile, Paul Stirling and Eoin Morgan will be the key players for the visitors alongside Tom Helm for the away side.
ESS vs SOM Players to watch out for:
The batting department of the home team has performed very well with every other batsman coming and hitting a half century and they are Tom Westley, Adam Wheater, Ashar Zaidi and Ravi Bopara so it is expected that in this game these batters will try to set a high target for their opposition.
Somerset Wicketkeeper Steven Davies, James Hildreth, and Matt Renshaw will be the batting highlights of the visitors. While in Bowling, Tim Groenewald, Craig Overton, and Max Waller will be the key for Somerset.
GLO vs HAM Players to watch out for:
Gloucestershire will play host to Hampshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup at Bristol, Tomorrow at 06:30 PM, IST.
Gloucestershire Taylor (54) and Higgins (81) held the fort for Gloucestershire in the batting department against Surrey. Apart from Howell (1-32), none of the bowlers could leave an impact against Surrey.
Rossouw (111) and skipper James Vince’s 66 were the cornerstones of Hampshire’s six-wicket win over Essex. Wheal chipped in two wickets, with the likes of Berg, Crane, and Taylor bagging one each against Essex.
