Ageas Bowl – Southampton, England

ENG VS AUS PREDICTION: Who will win?

The much anticipated limited-overs series between England and Australia got off to a perfect start as the hosts England robbed off a win in the first T20I which was very well in control of the Aussies. The unexpected loss is expected to trigger up the Aussies ahead of the second match and they will be coming all guns blazing. The opening match of the series opened up various questions regarding the lower middle order and the finishing capabilities of both these champion sides. The Aussies lost the match from a winning position only due to the incapability of their lower middle-order batsmen to finish up the innings. Stoinis, Maxwell, and Carey, who were to perfect that role will be hoping to correct their mistakes ahead of the second match. England too found out problems in their middle order as they saw their middle-order falling in quick succession to Aussie spinners. So it would be wise to invest in top-order batsmen like Warner, Finch, or Buttler for online cricket betting.

Australia to win the match

  • Australian top-order which includes David Warner and Finch looks in fine touch and is expected to continue that form as per today match prediction.
  • Aussies have better depth in the bowling department, especially in spin bowling.
  • An unexpected loss in the last match is expected to trigger them up for today’s encounter.

ENG VS AUS MATCH PREDICTION

The first match of the series rightfully exposed the weaker areas of both sides and it won’t of no surprise if the opposition purposefully targets those areas for the rest of the series. England batsmen’s inability to tackle quality spin bowling is expected to be exposed more in the next match. It was almost evident from the last match as captain Finch decided to bowl 12 overs of spin despite having a quality pace attack. The experienced players like Buttler, Bairstow, Malan, and Morgan will have to up their game to tackle this problem. England is expected to field the same eleven, even though Tom Banton publically admitted that he is finding it difficult to fit into the role of a middle-order batsman.

Australia on the other hand will be happy and sad at the same time after the end of the last match. The current form of their openers are a great sign for the number one ranked team, and they will be expecting that to continue for the rest of the series. The form of their spinners and the value Maxwell added to that spin bowling unit despite being a part-timer adds to Australia’s strong points. But the major worry for them will be regarding their middle order and finishing abilities. They threw away an easy match last time around, despite having required a run-a-ball in the last 5 overs, courtesy of their finishers, and namely Marcus Stoinis. Langer and co. will be hoping to see some improvements in this front in the second match. They too are expected to go on with the same eleven, considering it’s only their second match after the long COVID break.

Expert free tip- It would be wise to invest in Aussie spinners considering that England’s weakness against spin was exposed in the last match.

ENG vs AUS Toss Prediction and Pitch Report

The match will be played on the same pitch that was used for the 1stT20I. It is expected to be a bit drier and slower as the match progresses. The spinners will once again have to play a big role in deciding the match outcome. No dew is expected and since the wicket is expected to slow down in the second innings, it would be wise to bat first in this much important T20 match.

ENG vs AUS free cricket betting tips

David Warner

Warner time, again and again, showed why he is one of the all-time T20 G.O.A.T. His ability to attack and play the anchoring role at the same time makes him a valuable asset in any T20 game. He is more or less expected to continue the same form, as per Dream11 Prediction.

Jos Buttler

When he is opening the innings in a T20 match, he is a completely different player. Currently, at the peak of his form, Buttler is once again expected to come all guns blazing during the 2nd T20I. As for cricket betting tips, it would be wise to invest in him for fantasy cricket tournaments.

Dawid Malan

Dawid Malan has been pretty consistent in T20Is for England over the years and he proved his ability in the last match with a match-winning knock. In a team full of attacking batsmen, he provides that much-needed stability.

Glenn Maxwell

Despite being a part-timer, Maxwell shined with the ball in the last match as he picked up very important two wickets in crucial stages of the match. With the lower middle order failing in the last match, he is expected to showcase his ability with the bat in the coming match.

Aaron Finch

The Australian captain looks in fine form with the bat and is expected to continue the same for today’s match.

Adam Zampa

Since spin is expected to play a huge role in the outcome of this match, Zampa would be the ideal man to put your money on.
