IPL 2021: England Players Available for Phase 2. Here’s the official update

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the complete timetable for the second phase of IPL 2021. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings in what will be the 30th match of the season. The United Arab Emirates (UAE), which hosted the IPL 2020, will host the rest of the league fixtures and the playoffs, with Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah being the three venues. The final of the marquee tournament will take place on October 15 in Dubai.
England players to be available for the remainder of the IPL 2021
The second phase of the IPL 2021 is officially scheduled to resume on September 19 in the UAE. With England scheduled to tour Bangladesh in September-October for three ODIs and three T20I games, the participation of the English players in the remainder of the marquee tournament was in doubt.

However, it is now reported that the white-ball series between England and Bangladesh will be postponed and BCCI have got the green signal for the participation of English players in the remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in UAE.
With English players available for the rest of the IPL, the likes of Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Moeen Ali are some of the big names who will be heading to the UAE along with India players from the UK in the same chartered plane after the conclusion of Test series and will have a bubble-to-bubble transfer.
Speaking to ANI, sources in the known of developments confirmed about the same saying that it shows how brilliant working relationship BCCI secretary Jay Shah has with both ECB and BCB.
“The English players will be available for the resumption of the IPL in the UAE. The BCCI has the green signal. This shows the brilliant working relationship that the secretary has with not just the ECB, but also the BCB,” source said.

Delhi Capitals are currently placed on the top of the table with six wins out of eight games and are followed by Chennai Super Kings with five wins in seven games. Royal Challengers Bangalore are on the number three spot with five wins in seven matches and defending Champions Mumbai Indians are placed fourth in the points table with four wins in their bag in seven matches.
