Women’s Big Bash League 2018-19: The Big Picture

Australia’s Big Bash season returns with the fourth edition of Women’s Big Bash League 2018-19 scheduled to kick start from December 01, Saturday. The season opener will witness the clash of Perth Scorchers Women and  Hobart Hurricanes Women at the newly revamped Junction Oval, Melbourne. Sydney Sixers, current champions, will begin their campaign against Melbourne Stars later in the evening. The WBBL 2018-19 will feature eight franchises locking horns in 59 T20s for the title. The season finale will be played on 26 January 2019 while the venue is yet to be decided.

WBBL 2018-19 will also feature India’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and opening batter Smriti Mandhana.  Mandhana will now play for Hobart Hurricanes whiel Harmanpreet Kaur has extended her contract with Sydney Thunders. Mandhana replaced fellow Indian player Veda Krishnamurthy from Hobart Hurricane who made her debut in the 2017-18 season.
