It was more than a satisfying day for team India at Thiruvananthapuram as the team defeated Windies in an emphatic manner in the 5th ODI to win the ODI series 3-1. And after the well-deserved win, Kohli’s men celebrated the moment in style after arriving at the hotel.

Hotel staff welcomes victorious Team India in a lovely manner

The victorious Team India was greeted by the hotel staff with flowers after arriving at the hotel after the match. A cake was also arranged to celebrate the occasion and the vice-captain of the team Rohit Sharma cut the cake as others joined him.

Team India extend their domination at home

After drubbing the Windies in the Test series, Indian team won the first ODI with ease. However, an inspired Windies team stunned the hosts by leveling the scores in the second ODI and winning the third one. But Kohli’s men recovered from the shock soon and routed the visitors in the fourth and the fifth ODI.

In the fifth ODI, the hosts dismantled the opponents for a paltry score of just 104 runs and then chased the target in the 15th over with nine wickets in hand. Ravindra Jadeja picked four wickets to earn the man-of-the-match award and Virat Kohli bagged the man-of-the-series award for scoring three hundreds and over 450 runs in 5 games.

With this series win, Indian team now has won six consecutive bi-lateral series wins at home and have remained unbeaten since 2015.

India and Windies will now lock horns against each other in the 3 T20 international games that will start from 4th November at Kolkata. The second T20 international will be played 6th November at Lucknow and the 3rd T20I will be on 1th November at Chennai.
