The South African spinner Imran Tahir has been a terrific performer in the limited-overs. In the ODI and T20I, he has 173 and 63 wickets respectively. He has also been a successful player in tests, with 57 wickets in 20 matches to his name. But he gained prominence while playing for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League, where he has scalped 82 wickets in 59 matches.

After retiring from the ODI and test cricket, he has devoted his career to solely playing T20 cricket. His latest news has come from the Hundred tournament which is being in England.
Imran Tahir takes first ever Hat-trick of the Hundred
The Hundred comprising of men’s and women’s matches started from 22 July and attracted a full crowd in the stadium, and its popularity is rising day by day to the presence of quality international players.

While, playing for Birmingham Phoenix, Tahir took a first-ever hat-trick to create history in the first season of The Hundred. The birmingham Phoenix scored a mammoth total of 184 runs in 100 balls, with Smeed, Moeen Ali, and Livinsgstone being the significant contributors. The opposition team could not play well due to the five-wicket haul by Imrah Tahir. His hat-trick came in the 13th over of the match, where he dismissed the opposition’s tailenders, Qais Ahmad, Matt Milnes, and David Payne. His final figures read 19-10-25-5.

Birmingham Phoenix bags the top position in Points Table
The Birmigham Phoenix has one again gained the top position in the Hundred’s points table with 4 wins in 6 matches. In yesterday’s match, the team’s batting performance was superb with Will Smeed and Moeen Ali scoring 65 and 59 respecitvely to boost the team at the top-order, while Livingstone provided a late flourish with 31 off 19 balls to push the team total to 184.
In the bowling unit, a five wicket haul by Imran Tahir along with a fine support of Ben Howell and Matt Milne helped the team to win by a huge margin of 93 runs.
