India conquer Melbourne after 37 years
Australia started day five of the Melbourne Test with eight wickets down. Indian bowlers took little time to finish off the proceedings as Jasprit Bumrah sent back Pat Cummins and then Ishant Sharma dismissed Nathan Lyon.

Nice that there’s still appreciation & room in the game for the “quiet achiever”;Jasprit Bumrah’s not far off becoming the “gold standard”. Pujara proving that those who critique his scoring rate don’t quite grasp his significance to an evolving India batting lineup.

Always wanted to play Test cricket: Bumrah
The right arm pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged the man of the match award for his spectacular bowling performance.
Bumrah stated that to play Test cricket is a great feeling be it Boxing Day or any other day. He pointed out that he made his India debut in Australia, so it is a great feeling.

He explained that he always focus on consistency and he feels when you have so many options, you may get confused. According to the Indian pacer someday you get wickets, someday another mate will, but they don’t think about those.
He admitted that he bowled a lot, but he doesn’t mind, because this is why they train. They bowl a lot in Ranji-Trophy cricket, and it pays off. He also noted that when he made his ODI debut, he always just wanted to play Test cricket.
