SL vs IND 2nd T20 Match Review:
Brief Scorecard: India 132-5 in 20.0 overs (Shikhar Dhawan 42, Ruturaj Gaikwad 21, Devdutt Padikkal 29, Dushmantha Chameera 1-23, Akila Dananjaya 2-29) lost to Sri Lanka by 4 Wickets (Minod Bhanuka 36, Dhananjaya de Silva 40, Varun Chakravarthy 1-18, Kuldeep Yadav 2-20)
India went into the game with a much-depleted side as Krunal Pandya contracted Covid and several players went into isolation. They and had to field their net bowlers in the starting XI, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar batting as high as no.6.
Dhawan, Gaikwad, and Padikkal played cautiously and provided a decent start on a sluggish pitch. India was 94-2 by the end of the 15th over. However, things just went downhill from that point and they finished with a below-par score of 132.
In reply, Sri Lanka kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Indian spinners bowled really well and did not allow any freebies. Minod Bhanuka provided some momentum in the middle overs. Dhananjaya de Silva played a responsible knock and with the help of cameos from Hasaranga and Karunaratne, Sri Lanka got over the line in the final over.
