A stunning team performance enabled Mumbai to topple Chennai Super Kings the other night and now they will be hoping to do the same against another strong team in IPL 2019, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

SRH are going strength to strength in this edition of Indian Premier League with their strong bowling complimenting their phenomenal batting.

Mumbai meanwhile showcased their capabilities by mauling CSK and hence SRH have all the reasons to be wary of them.

Venue:

A traditionally spin-friendly surface, the Hyderabad pitch assists bowlers who drop pace off the ball. But in both games played this year, SRH amassed a 200 plus score. So expect the same for the third match as well.

Form guide:

Jonny Bairstow is in phenomenal form while David Warner has three fifties in four games. Yusuf Pathan’s form isĀ  a worry and the middle-order looks vulnerable. Rashid continues to impress while Bhuvneshwar has shown signs of regaining his touch.

For Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya has remained the stand-out performer while the big guns including Rohit, Bumrah, Malinga, Yuvraj and de Kock haven’t been consistent.

Key Numbers:

  • In the last five games between the two sides, Hyderabad has won three while Mumbai has won two.

  • The Hyderabad stadium is a fortress for SRH. Since 2017, the franchise has lost just three games here and has won 13 matches.

Players in focus:

The last time Mayank Markande player here, he went home with four wickets and an economy below six. He has had an off start to IPL 2019 so far with just one wicket in two matches. Given the slow nature of the pitch and Markande’s record here, he can be expected to play a big role on April 05.

This may come as a surprise but Jonny Bairstow has a better strike (167.34) than Warner (161.96). And in terms of runs he is catching Warner quickly. The SRH opener has 246 runs in four innings and has also scored 30 fours in this season of Indian Premier League, the most by any batsman.
