Shahid Afridi took to Twitter to spread a noble message urging to care for an animal, but his tweet started a hailstorm, and definitely not in a good way.
The former skipper of Pakistan national cricket team took tweeted out two pictures, one that showed him bottle-feeding a deer and another of daughter where she can be seen standing with her raised hands with a chained lion in the background.
This triggered the Twitterati to lash out on Afridi accusing the cricketer of depriving the animals of their natural habitat.
Here is the Tweet:
Great to spend time with loved ones. Best feeling in the world to have my daughter copy my wicket taking celebrations. And yes don't forget to take care of animals, they too deserve our love and care 🙂 pic.twitter.com/CKPhZd0BGD
