Records tremble as Rohit unleashes flurry in Mumbai

Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma once again proved his nickname ‘Hitman’ correct by slamming yet another daddy hundred against Windies in Mumbai. In the process, the Indian batsman has broken several records as well.
Sharma first batsman to have 7 scores of 150 plus runs
In the fourth ODI between India and Windies, all eyes were set on Virat Kohli but the Indian captain departed early after Shikhar Dhawan once again failed to convert a start into a big score.

But Sharma steered the Indian innings with yet another sublime innings. He tagged with Ambati Rayudu to repair the damage and then with his majestic strokes put India in a dominating position.
The right-hand batsman scored 162 runs off just 137 balls and infact his last 112 runs came in just 77 balls.
In the process, Rohit has become the first batsman in ODI cricket to score seven 150 plus scores in ODIs.
Also, he is only the second batsman in ODIs to register two scores of 150 runs in a bilateral series.

Rohit gets closer to Ganguly
This is Rohit’s 21st ODI century and he is now at number four in the list of most centuries by an Indian batsman. He is only one hundred behind Saurav Ganguly who is at number three with 22 centuries.

Also in terms of centuries scored by an Indian opening batsman, Rohit has 19 which takes him only behind the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
Rohit, the six machine
Since his promotion as the opening batsman, Rohit has turned into a six machine. Today also he scored four sixes.
He has now smashed 196 sixes and and has reached the second position in the list of most sixes by an Indian.
Only MS Dhoni is ahead of him with 218 sixes.
