Come the end of WT20, India might have seen the last of the most successful Indian coach in Ravi Shastri. The former Indian all-rounder is the coach of the Indian Men’s team for more than 3 years now. He was appointed as the full time head coach after Anil Kumble resigned from his job at the end of champions trophy in 2017 which India lost in the final to the arch rivals Pakistan.
Ravi Shastri to bid adieu in October?
One of the most successful broadcasters in Ravi Shastri was appointed as Indian team’s director in 2014. He developed a good rapport with all the Indian boys, Virat Kohli in particular that he was appointed as the head coach in 2017.
India went on to become a force in all the three formats of the game under his tenure with the exception of an ICC trophy. India have developed a glut of resources across formats and are well settled for the next 5 years atleast with future stars ready to take over from the current superstars.
India won 2 back to back series in Australia which no Asian team has done to date. India qualified for the 2019 world cup semi-final and the final of the inaugural edition of WTC under his tenure. India were the best sides in both these tournaments but they failed to place their hands on the trophy.
It has been learnt that Ravi Shastri has already informed to some of the board members about parting ways with Indian team right after the WT20 in October. The bowling coach Bharat Arun might end his stint with the Indian team as well along with Ravi Shastri in October.

Having said India is the best team in the world across formats for the past 5 years or so, they haven’t won an ICC trophy in the past 8 years.
