Former Aussie pace bowler Mitchell Johnson is impressed by India’s pace bowling department but it is Jasprit Bumrah who has impressed him the most. Johnson believes that a batsman will think twice before taking on Bumrah.
Bumrah’s pressure leads to wickets at other end: Johnson
The former left-hand bowler stated that Bumrah has a unique action, but is very consistent with his line and length.
According to Johnson, the Indian pacer hardly bowls a loose delivery, which means he is hard to score off and any batsman will think twice before taking him on.
Johnson feels that the pressure created by Bumrah at one end often leads to wickets tumbling at the other end.

Johnson lauds other Indian pacers too
At the same time, the Aussie cricketer praised India’s other bowlers.
He explained that Ishant Sharma has been around for a while and is hitting the bat hard, which is a good sign. But Johnson feels that he needs to be more consistent with his line.
Johnson noted that right-arm pacer Mohammed Shami has a smooth action and has the ability to surprise batsmen with the occasional short ball. He also added that Umesh Yadav seems to have added a yard of pace but does not swing it much these days.
Johnson backs The pitch at perth
The match referee of the Perth Test Ranjan Madugalle rated the pitch average but Johnson didn’t approve of this.

He stated that nothing was wrong with the Perth pitch. It was exciting to watch a contest between bat and ball for a change and not these dull flat tracks being served up constantly.
He also said that he would actually be interested in knowing what a good pitch is. And he hopes for another exciting test at the MCG.
