KXIP vs MI IPL 2019 preview: Can Mumbai continue their winning streak?

Mumbai Indians lost the first match and won their second while KXIP won the first match and lost their second. The two teams who have already seen plenty of controversies meet at Mohali on March 30 in IPL 2019. What do we have in store this time?
Mumbai has always looked a formidable unit and with Malinga joining the team their pace bowling attack has got more punch. On the other hand, Punjab is marred by the failure of their bowlers to step up and KL Rahul will be under scrutiny as well.
Venue:
The Mohali stadium is traditionally known for offering some zip to the pace bowlers and the ball does something under the lights.
However the batsmen can always fancy their chances on this track once they get their eye in.
This is the first match at this venue in IPL 2019 so it will be interesting to see if the home team wants some changes in the track.

Form guide:
Inconsistent. That’s the word to describe both teams. Mumbai Indians gave away 200 plus runs against Delhi but did incredibly well to defend 187 runs the other day against the might of Kohli-ABD.
Their batting too has some cracks with the pointers especially on the form of Kieron Pollard.
The lack of runs from KL Rahul shouldn’t be a concern for Punjab atleast for now but the form of their bowlers should be an issue to sort asap.
Gayle is in full flow and Agarwal and Sarfaraz have shown signs of a big season.
We're in for a Super Saturday clash with KXIP tomorrow in Mohali ??

Key Numbers:
- This is the first home match for Punjab but it isn’t something to cheer for. They have a win percentage of 51% and importantly have lost all four recent matches against Mumbai here.
- Malinga has a sensational record against Punjab’s two big batsmen- Gayle and Miller. He has dismissed Gayle twice and has dismissed Miller four times.
- Mumbai Indians have 99 wins in IPL. With one more win they will become the first IPL team to get to this feat.

Players in focus:
Rohit Sharma had his worst IPL season in 2018. He scored below 300 runs and struggled to get going.
In his last match against RCB though he showed signs of improvement. He scored 48 runs off 33 balls and hence will be looking to make the most at Mohali.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman didn’t feature in last game. But given his record at Mohali he may comeback in the team.
He has 11 wickets at this venue and an economy of 6.6. So if he is in, then who goes out for Punjab?
