BCCI has announced the squad for the ODI and T20I series against Australia. Virat Kohli is back and he will lead Team India while Jasprit Bumrah makes a return as well. India have dropped Dinesh Karthik and have shown faith in KL Rahul. Spinner Mayank Markande has been included in the T20I squad.
India opts for full strength batting order
Return of Virat Kohli has strengthened India’s batting department and the team management hasn’t rested either of Rohit Sharma or Shkhar Dhawan for the T20I and ODI series. KL Rahul is the back-up opener and he might play in the middle order as well.

Rishabh Pant, Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar have been provided another chance while Karthik is picked only for the T20I series. MS Dhoni will be the wicket-keeper while Hardik Pandya brings the balance in the team.
Now that Rishabh Pant has been picked, and needs game time to be assessed for a World Cup spot, I wonder whose place he will get. Jadhav? Or Rayudu? Irrespective of that, I hope this is not a final decision on Dinesh Karthik because that will be very hard on him

Bumrah returns, Umesh in for T20Is
India have brought back Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling department while Umesh Yadav makes a comeback in the T20I team.
Interestingly, India have picked spin bowler Mayank Markande for the T20I series.
Doors shut on @DineshKarthik and @imjadeja for the World Cup? Pant’s retention was expected. Biggest gainer has been Vijay Shankar. #IndiaCricketSelection
