IND vs ENG, 3rd Test live: India currently find themselves in complete tatters against England in the ongoing third Test at the Headingley. Going into the Test match with an important 1-0 lead in the five-match series, India even went on to win the toss and elected to bat first. However, the visitors have put up a very disappointing performance with the bat getting bundled out for 78 runs in the first innings.
Rohit Sharma Falls to the Pull Shot once again
Team India lost the key wickets of KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane quite early as England pacer James Anderson looked in a fabulous rhythm. Indian opener Rohit Sharma was giving respect to the good deliveries but then he once again fell into the short-ball ploy from England seamer Crag Overton. For the third time in this series, Rohit lost his wicket while playing his favourite pull shot as he yet again failed to connect it perfectly leaving India in a troublesome situation at 67 for 6. It was really surprising to see the Indian opener batting in an unlikely manner as he went into a shell and could only manage to score 19 runs off 105 balls.

If I were a great player of the pull shot, I would simply not get out playing it three times in three Tests.

IND vs ENG, 3rd Test Live
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Team India will be really disappointed with their batting efforts as none of the players managed to even cross the 20-run mark individually. For India, Rohit scored 19 runs while Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for a 54-ball 18. There were a lot of poor shots played by the Indian top-order which is a massive concern.

On the other hand, the England bowlers were absolutely superb on Day 1 of the Headingley Test keeping the opposition batting line-up under constant pressure. For England, James Anderson and Craig Overton finished with three wickets each. The duo of Ollie Robinson and Sam Curran also took two wickets apiece.
