IND VS ENG: The first Test between India and England was heading towards an exciting finish before rain washed out the final day. The focus now shifts to the second game at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s. Both teams would be looking to improve on their previous performance and set the tone for the series.
London Weather Today
We can expect good weather and almost uninterrupted play today. Skies will be cloudy, and the winds will be light. Temperatures will be in the range of 20-22 degrees Celsius. There is a small chance of rain in the forenoon when there can be a short drizzle.
IND Vs ENG: Injuries Hit both Camps
Shardul Thakur has pulled his hamstring and is out of contention for the second Test. However, skipper Virat Kohli said he might be available for the third Test. Ishant Sharma is most likely to replace him if India decides to go with four pacers again. Ravi Ashwin might also fancy his chances; he has proved he can take wickets on any surface.

An MRI scan revealed Broad had torn his right calf muscle. It occurred during a light warm-up jog ahead of a training session on Tuesday. Anderson was absent from practice on Wednesday morning due to a tight quad. It may have been precautionary; he did show up for a ten-minute workout where he bowled without obvious discomfort.
Saqib Mahmood has been called into the Test Squad to replace Broad. The speedster was instrumental in his side’s victory over Pakistan in the ODIs.
