Virender Sehwag-Bangladesh are an ordinary side
The former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was one of the best openers of his time. The right-handed batsman was mainly known for his aggressive style of play as he only believed in dominating the bowling line-ups in all three formats of the game and probably was one of the most exciting batsmen the game of cricket has ever witnessed. Apart from his on the field heroics, the former Indian skipper is very famous for his bold statements. A few years ago, when the Bangladesh cricket team toured India, Virender Sehwag made an arrogant statement which even saw him getting criticised by many fans and pundits across the globe.
The 42-year-old when asked by a reporter if Bangladesh can beat India he called them an ordinary cricket team as they can’t take 20 Indian wickets “Bangladesh are an ordinary side. They can’t beat India because they can’t take 20 wickets,” was what he said. No, they can’t beat us in Test matches. Because they can’t take 20 Indian wickets. Even Sri Lanka found it difficult. Bangladesh can’t. They are an ordinary side.” Sehwag said.
