ENG vs IND: Even after scoring a total of 215 runs and losing just two wickets on Day 3 of the ongoing Headingley Test against England, India had to go a long way further to save this game. The host England team is currently ahead in this Test match as they were superb both with the bat and ball in the first innings.

Virat Kohli saved by Ajinkya Rahane

Team India got off to a poor start during the opening session on Day 4 of the third Test against India. India’s overnight batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara who played really well yesterday, suffered a big lapse in concentration losing his wicket after scoring 91 runs. However, in an interesting incident after that dismissal, Indian captain Virat Kohli was first given out caught behind off James Anderson by the on-field umpire. However, surprisingly Virat initially looked pretty convinced with the decision but after consultation with Ajinkya Rahane, he took the DRS and the replays clearly showed that the bat had hit the pad. There wasn’t anything on the ultra-edge when the ball passed the bat.

However, just after reaching his half-century, the Indian captain once again chase a wide delivery gifting an easy catch in the slips cordon to England skipper Joe Root. India suffered yet another horrendous collapse on Day 4 losing a total of five wickets for just 39 runs. England’s pacer Ollie Robinson was the chief tormentor in triggering this batting collapse as he took the big wickets of Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant. He also dismissed Rohit Sharma on Day 3. India are still behind by 98 runs in this third Test match with Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma currently batting at the crease. However, England are looking all set to register a big win here at Leeds and level the five-match Test series 1-1.
