Cricketing action is coming thick and fast as the second test between India and England will be starting tomorrow at Lord’s. The series stands at 0-0 after the first game ending in a draw with both the teams having had an equal opportunity to win the game on the final day of the test before rain asked them to move to Lord’s for the 2nd test without a win for either team.
This is only the second game of the five match series and both the teams have injury concerns already going into the game at Lord’s.
ENG vs IND: Injury threat for India and England
India decided to drop Ravichandran Ashwin who is the best spinner in the test cricket at the moment owing to batting depth as surely conditions cannot be a question in place because the ace off spinner is someone who can take the conditions out of the equation. But one never know about the thinking of Indian management as to why they dropped the veteran off spinner and played Shardul Thakur.

To their credit, Shardul Thakur did bowl well but he didn’t contribute a run with the bat and now leading up to the 2nd test, it is known that the Mumbaikar has injured his hamstring and might not play the 2nd test. This is another great opportunity for Ravichandran Ashwin to prove his class to the Indian management and his critics.
Mark Wood to replace Stuart Broad
Stuart Broad had a disappointing outing in the first test where a lot was expected of him. He was not only picking wickets but was also on the expensive side. In a recent press release by ECB, it has been revealed that Stuart Broad has injured his calf and might not be available for the 2nd test. Here’s the statement issued by ECB
