Virat Kohli, James Anderson involved in a verbal spat at Lord’s
The ongoing second Test match between England and India has been nothing short of entertainment. Along with high-quality cricket, players have been engaged in verbal battles as well. While it was James Anderson who had a go at Jasprit Bumrah after stumps on Day three for his fiery over at him, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli made sure that he gave back to the talismanic pacer in the first session of the Day 4.

It was during the 17th over of the day, when Anderson was bowling, Virat Kohli spotted that the veteran pacer was running on the pitch after which the 39-year-old had a go at him as well.
“You swearing at me again are you? This isn’t your fu**ing backyard,” Virat Kohli said to James Anderson and in reply, the pacer too came up with a few words. The verbal spat continued even after the fifth delivery as Indian skipper was caught on the stump mic saying “Chirp Chirp chirp. This is what old age makes you,” to Anderson

ENG vs IND Live: Virat Kohli gets out on 20
The Indian skipper continued his poor form and gifted his wicket just at the stroke of lunch on Day 4. The right-handed poked at an away going delivery off Sam Curran which could’ve easily been left alone only to edge it to Jos Buttler. He scored 20 runs off 31 balls as India went into lunch at 56/3, only 29 runs ahead in the second innings. The responsibility is now on the other batsmen to build a significant lead for the team in order to set a target for England.
