Delhi Daredevils hire former Indian cricketer as talent scout

As a part of revamping the entire team management, Delhi Daredevils have roped in former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif as the talent scout for the team. The IPL franchise has also made assistant coach Praveen Amre a part of the talent scout team.
Delhi Daredevils make sweeping changes in management
After finishing the 2018 IPL season at the bottom of the points table, Delhi Daredevils have decided to revamp their team management. The process started with team CEO Hemant Duo stepping down in April and now the team has changed the role of Praveen Amre. The former India cricketer worked as the assistant coach in the previous IPL season but this year he will work as the talent scout which means his job will end when IPL Auctions are completed.
Mohammad Kaif has been roped in as well as the talent scout for the franchise. Kaif worked as the fielding coach for Gujrat Lions in the past in the IPL.
Kaif’s international cricket career
Known as one of the finest fielders to ever play for India, Kaif featured in 13 Tests and 135 ODIs for India. He scored 624 runs in Tests at an average of 32.84 and scored 2753 runs at an average of 32.01 in ODIs. He also has one hundred and three fifties in Tests and two centuries and 17 fifties in ODIs. He also played for Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

The right-hand batsman is remembered for his gritty match-winning knock against England in the finals of the Natwest Trophy 2002.
Delhi Daredevils’ disastrous performance in IPL
After making it to the semi-finals of the first two seasons in IPL, Delhi Daredevils hasn’t been able to make to the top four in the points table since 2013.
In fact the franchise finished at the last position in three seasons in the last six years.
